New restaurant for Kondalilla
Kondalilla Eco Resort’s owner/director, Gene Thompson, and his team have worked tirelessly to create a peaceful oasis for retreat and holiday guests in the stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The resort consists of 20 cabins spread over 22 acres of pristine bushland. Kondalilla is a fantastic place to disconnect from the world and just relax.
“It’s the ideal getaway for couples, families or friends,” said Assistant Resort Manager, Danielle Eaton.“With winter approaching it’s the perfect opportunity to kick back and enjoy your cozy cabin beside a roaring fireplace. We have spa baths or deep baths in each cabin, so there’s no reason not to relax and unwind!”
Many renovations have taken place within the interior and exterior of each accommodation type.
“Our Treehouses have been freshly painted with new decks, furnishings and renovated bathrooms. New well lit pathways throughout the property allow you to wander and take in the views and appreciate the native fauna and flora,” Danielle continued.
“You may see wallabies, possums, turtles, lizards and the most incredible bird life around the resort.”
In the warmer months you can cool down after a beautiful bushwalk in one of the two salt swimming pools with newly renovated decks.
The most exciting project to date, however, is the renovation of Kondalilla’s restaurant.
“Gene’s vision is becoming a reality as we near the end of the renovations,” smiled Danielle. “We have a grand opening in early June for Kondalilla Restaurant, which boasts a large dining area, private dining space, bar and outdoor area.”
With the view towards the Kondalilla National Park, this restaurant is sure to become a favourite.
“We are adding something different to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland,” Danielle added, “Kondalilla Restaurant will be a vegetarian restaurant with seafood and vegan options. The diversity of restaurant types in the Hinterland allows Kondalilla Restaurant to make its own mark.”
‘The Heart at Kondalilla’ is the platform for promoting retreats, conferences and workshops held in the Picnic Creek event space, and the restaurant adds the next element with a variety of catering options and offers the complete package.
