Lost in Paris

The Maleny Film Society brings a madcap comedy this month. Fiona is a small town librarian in Canada who receives a distressed letter from her elderly aunt in Paris and races to her aid, only to find she has disappeared. There follows a fast-paced series of mishaps that have been labelled Paris through the Looking Glass. The light-hearted wackiness is infectious, but there is sophistication to its deceptively childlike simplicity. With so many serious films on offer, is this the comedy we’ve all been waiting for?

Mostly English with some French (subtitles). Sunday November 18, Maleny Community Centre, 4pm, tea, coffee, slices and bar service available, tickets on the door.
