Katrina and Alex Freeman tell us, “At the Lions Welcome Dinner we found many kindred spirits. We found families, couples and singles who, like us, felt they bought in paradise.
“Brindabella, our small farm purchased through Ray White Maleny, was named after our children, Bryan, Belinda and Bella – BR INDA BELLA.
Katrina says, “Maleny district appealed to us because we originally came from rural NSW and needed to feel our home was in a rural environment.
“We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere as we integrated into the community loving the hinterland feeling, the abundance of opportunities for leisure and the environmental beauty.
“We purchased a Queenslander homestead overlooking Lake Baroon. The pleasure and joy it brings to my life is immense. The hours spent in the garden are magical…watching and listening to the bird life and the peace of the valleys”.
Katrina goes on to say, “At the Welcome Dinner I sat at a Ray White Maleny table and the first question I was asked by the people on this table was ‘which home did you purchase?’
“I pointed to the picture of my home and the lady next door said, ‘You’re my neighbour, we purchased the block next to you’.
“This was an instant connection and a friendship between families has blossomed, we’ve vowed to spend our future years being great friends, neighbours and support through difficult times we all face.”
