Rob Longstaff is a New Zealand-born, Australian-bred, Berlin-based Soul/Pop musician and he’s playing on St Patrick’s day at Finbars Maleny
Saturday March 17 is a time to celebrate all things Irish for St Patrick’s Day, at Finbars in Maleny! The Guinness is flowing, there is a fine selection of Irish whiskey to warm the belly, and the wood-fired pizza oven is roaring, so come down and enjoy the atmosphere!
From 11am- 2pm you can enjoy the sounds of traditional Irish instrumentals. Mark Dunbar says, “We have a fortnightly Celtic music session at Finbars, and we’re expanding on that with an opportunity for any musicians to come along and have a play – an inclusive session.
“With Irish music, people tend to learn a body of tunes and they play and sing informally. This traditionally happened in pubs in Ireland and now all over the world. Enter at your own level or ability and have a good time!”
(The Celtic sessions take place on the first and third Sundays of the month, if you’d like to take part in the future.)
Then from 2pm to 9pm join Max Sportelli and Rob Longstaff for an afternoon and evening of all your favourite soul, blues, reggae and pop hits, some solid originals and of course a little Irish folk. See you there!
