Cocktails and English Landscapes
The Gold Coast Chamber Orchestra, a talented group of 22 string players, will be performing at Flaxton Gardens, Flaxton at 2pm on Sunday, October 15, with a cocktail reception afterwards.
The programme, English Landscapes, has an emphasis on English composers such as Holt’s St Paul’s Suite and Benjamin Britten’s Simple Symphony.
The guest soloist and conductor for this concert is the fabulous cellist, Louise King, who will play the beautiful Elgar piece, Sospiro, for solo cello and strings.
For this concert, the orchestra has also commissioned a new work, Arethusa’s Watering, by 22-year-old Brisbane composer, John Rotar. This concert is not to be missed!
Join us on Sunday October 29, from 11.30am–4pm for our Oktober Beerfest, hosted by Todd and Sami from 92.7 Mix FM.
Bring the family and enjoy a pig and beef roast buffet, live music and lawn games.All guests receive a complimentary beer upon arrival, and a Stella Artois beer glass upon departure.
Ticket prices are $40 for adults and $20 for children aged 4-14 years. Under 4 years are free.

Bojesse Pigram and Sally Skelton will be performing together in a special family friendly event to thank their young fans for support throughout their appearance on The Voice.
Buy your tickets, $25 for adults, $20 for children, 4.30-6.30pm on Sunday November 5, followed by a meet-and-greet with the artists and canapes/fingerfood, finishing up at 7.30pm.For Mum and/or Dad, a cash bar will also be open after the concert.
