It is as if the enchanting street where wizards can buy a wand or get measured up for new robes has been hit with a reduction charm.

That magical mall, that must not be named, has been shrunk 48 times and will be on display at the Maleny Art, Craft and Collectables Market at the Maleny RSL Hall on Sunday, July 16, from 8am-2pm.

The incredibly detailed miniature display is the creation of Sunshine Coast woman Lyn Wilson, who has been making scale models and petite teddies as Lyn’s Tiny Corner, for more than 30 years.

Mrs Wilson said she started with a corner store kit, but quickly got bored and transformed it into a Quidditch shop, inspired by the Harry Potter series.

“After I finished Quality Quidditch Supplies, I thought I would try to create a wizard book shop.

“Three thousand books later, I knew I was a little nuts, but also completely hooked on creating this wizard alley.”

Over the past five years, tiny shops selling wands, robes, toys, clocks, owls and potions have been added to the display.

A tiny wizard would be able to read some of the books in Flourish and Blotts Book Shop, and soon will be able to visit their dragon-protected vault under the wizard bank.

With no plans to stop soon, Mrs Wilson says the shops are getting more and more complicated with each design, but she is still working on how to build the gateway to the wizarding world at the back of the pub!
