Over the years the Maleny Music Festival has gained a solid reputation for the high calibre of performers
How does Maleny in Bloom, a Forest Art Trail and edible masterpieces sound to you?
With Art St. Maleny and Maleny Music Festival being celebrated together this year – what better way to showcase Maleny’s finest – art, music and food on September 1 to 3!
Both events are featured in 10 arts-fuelled days of visual art, film, performance, street art, comedy, music and new media, by local, national and international artists in the coast-wide Horizon Festival.
To create Maleny in Bloom, two local artists, Kaye Leach and Belinda Stanton are very excited to invite you to help make ceramic flowers!
These floral tributes will form a public art installation. With approval pending for a very prominent site, your work will be seen by almost every visitor to Maleny.
The remaining workshops are $35, or $60 for two – there’s a different flower each day! On 9am-4pm, Saturday July 8, contact Kaye: 0417 770 217 and Saturday July 15, contact Belinda: 0400 781 987
Some ceramic blooms will also be used to decorate Maple Street and along the art trail to the Maleny Music Festival gates at the Showgrounds.
Now is time to book your earlybird tickets – with concerts, children’s program, workshops, Bushdance, Poet’s Breakfast, blackboard spots, singing and jam sessions, Street Theatre, late night Cabaret ‘Speakeasy’ plus bars, food and market stalls, there is something for all to enjoy and participate in at the sixth Maleny Music Festival.
Over 80 local, interstate and international performers over the three days – even slam poets and ‘ A Little Bit Country!’ and at just $90 for a three-day ticket makes it great value.
