Wood chopping is a favourite for all ages
It’s time to experience something new at the Maleny Show, June 2-3, with over 80 free things on offer.
Learn to make cheese, crack a whip, train working dogs, watch the wood chopping. Polish up the ute for the Ute Muster on Saturday in the entertainment arena, or get a local team of four together to take part in the Gumboot Ironman/Young Farmers Challenge on Saturday afternoon in the main ring!
One of the free events is Mikayla Jade, Equine Trick Rider, with an all new show of trick riding, breathtaking stunts and horses.
Try your hand at judging cakes to see if you can mix it with the professional judges and learn a few tricks of the trade.
Marvel at the stunt riders , try wine tasting, and enjoy the rodeo on Saturday night in the main arena.
New for 2017 is the free gold panning. Become an Australian Gold Miner, taken on a hands-on adventure which enables you to develop the basic tactics and skills sets used in the search and extraction of gold. This family operated enterprise brings five generations of gold mining knowledge to the forefront of the industry.
Plus there is the free live country music (NB Show admission applies)at Country Rocks the Mountains with multiple Golden Guitar winner including Tamworth 2017, Luke O’Shea; 2017 Indy Band of the Year, Col Finley Band; rising country music star, Will Day; Nashville recording artist, Chris Staff Band and local favourites, Nellie Finley and Diezel Town.
