Fresh food Easter traditions are alive and well for Anja Mew from Buderim Cookie Company.

Anja comes from a large family of European descent and is has stories of cornflour bunny feet, chocolates, pastries and sharing food around the kitchen table.

This year, Anja is thrilled that she can combine selling her gluten-free breads, cakes and biscuits and do her own fresh food shopping at the popular Hinterland Harvest Market.

Her family will enjoy a leisurely Easter Sunday brunch of roasted tomatoes with basil, potato Spaetzle, creamy mushrooms and eggs Benedict, all served of course with Anja’s delicious gluten-free breads.

Everything needed for your Sunday brunch: free-range eggs, choice tomatoes, mushrooms and cheeses are all available at the market on Easter Saturday.

For that relaxed afternoon baked delight, Anja offers her range of cupcakes decorated with sugar bunnies and eggs, triple chocolate brownies filled with Easter eggs, and gingerbreads shaped into all things Easter. And of course they are all gluten-free and delicious.

Anja pulls up each Saturday at the Hinterland Harvest Market with her gorgeous ‘Made with Love’ caravan and opens her windows for business, satisfying the ever increasing demand for her ‘just out of the oven’ delights.
