The time is fast approaching for all those dads out there to receive a token of appreciation from their families!
Hardware is always a popular choice; undies or hankies are also unwrapped on the first Sunday in September.
Then there’s something more indulgent and less practical – something to remind Dad of being a kid again!
Step forward Sweets on Maple at 39 Maple Street, Maleny, with their delectable confection selection.
Jars and jars of sweets adorn the shelves – from Rhubarb and Custard to Lemon Bon Bons to homemade fudge. There are even dedicated sections for sweets from different countries.
This gorgeous little place is a reminder of how sweet shops and candy stores used to be – the kind of shop Willy Wonka and his very sweet tooth would delight in!
Here are a few of our favourites for Father’s Day: the $1,000,000 Chocolate Bar (made in Queensland); the hugely popular Jack Daniels Honey Smokehouse hot sauce; the Swiss-made liqueur chocolate bars (Remy Martin or Cointreau anyone?); some delicious dark chocolate-coated ginger (always a winner), or some tempting Irish Chocolate Coffee Beans and Dark Chocolate Coffee Beans.
You have until Sunday September 4, folks, so come along and choose a choc!
