Girls and boys aged 5 -10 years can now join a nationally-accredited netball competition through the Nambour and Districts Netball Association
The program known as “Net – Set – Go” is available to girls and boys who would like to play netball in 2009.
The program is being conducted by senior Nambour coaches Vikki Flick and Richard Shaw.  Both coaches are looking forward to working with future  competition players.
The roll up of players attending the first Net – Set – Go program, has exceeded expectations. Thirty-eight girls have signed up to complete the eight week program held at the Victory Park complex at Woombye.
Richard Shaw says the most notable and pleasing feature of the very young netballers is the wide geographic range from which the girls have come.  Palmwoods has the biggest number, but girls have come from Mooloolah, Montville, Buderim, Bli Bli, Didillibah, Eudlo, Chevallum, Woombye, Nambour and Mapleton.
The program will run through to December 4 when hopefully the program will have a Queensland Firebird player present to further motivate others to play this tremendously popular sport.
