THE HINTERLAND TIMES has secured the first business delivery of an all electric car in Australia. It will be seen on the roads of the Hinterland and Sunshine Coast from March.
Mitsubishi is the first car maker to launch a zero emissions electric car called the i-MiEV. This all new technology car will plug into your car port or garage at night and is ready to drive away in the morning. Hinterland Times editor, Michael Berry is keen to promote alternative energy options and will write a monthly blog about the i-MiEV on the magazine website. “This will not be a fluffy promotion,” said Michael. “Mitsubishi and Garry Crick, who have supplied the car, appreciate that we must tell it how it is if electric vehicles are to be taken seriously in the future.” Michael has written the first column about the i-MiEV on page 47.
