Hinterland’s multi-media artist Kevin Oxley is a finalist in the prestigious Grafton Acquisitive Drawing Award. The prize is $15,000. His drawing – Eclipse of Survival is in charcoal, ink and pastels on paper.
Kevin says, “my entry continues to be about the healing power of art. The warrior within is drawn on to battle against the odds”.
Kevin has fought successfully over the past five years against pancreatic cancer. He continues to work despite ongoing treatment.
The 46 finalists will go on tour throughout NSW and Queensland from December through to March. The winner will be announced in Grafton on Friday October 29.
