Reality Bites, the Sunshine Coast’s major festival of nonfiction writing and performance, brings together some of Australia’s sharpest minds, creative thinkers and gifted storytellers.
Reality Bites offers 36 authors in 43 sessions spread over two weekends. David Marr will be the keynote speaker at the Reality Bites launch on Friday 23 July.
Robyn Williams is well known as the presenter of Radio National’s The Science Show and Ockham’s Razor. On Saturday 31 July at 10.30am Robyn will join Prof. Ian Lowe and Danielle Clode in a discussion Hot and Bothered – the Reality of Climate Change, and will appear again at 12pm in conversation with Maggie Hamilton talking about The Heart of the Matter. Cooroy Memorial Hall.
Maggie Hamilton is a media commentator and keen observer of social trends. Her recent books include What’s Happening to Our Girls? and What’s Happening to Our Boys? She will also be speaking at a literary lunch at the Boathouse Restaurant on Sunday 1 August.
