SUSTAINABLE banking institution, MCU has made a major, three year financial commitment to students of sustainability at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
CEO Greg Stevens told the Hinterland Times that MCU would commit $9000 over three years to student bursaries and subject awards. “MCU is delighted to support the education of our next generation to better understand sustainability, how they can develop actions to protect our environment,” said Greg. “MCU is honoured to be linked to a like-minded institution that is focusing on sustainability.
The MCU sponsorship involves an award each year of $500 for the dux in the subject, Foundations of Sustainability.
There will also be an annual bursary of $2,500 awarded to an undergraduate student at USC who nominates a ‘sustainability’ stream of subjects.
