GREG STEVENS, CEO of MCU Ltd recently announced a major three year sponsorship of Women in Art in conjunction with the Zonta Club of the Blackall Range. MCU Ltd are sponsoring the major overall first prize of $1500 on an annual basis. This will be the major prize for the overall winner of WIA for the following 3 years, 2010, 2011, & 2012.
This will make the Zonta WIA competition’s 1st prize one of the most lucrative on the Sunshine Coast.
MCU and Zonta are calling all female artists, potters, sculptors and craftswomen in the Blackall Range area and further afield to enter the WIA competition.
This year, 2010, will be the 12th year that Zonta has presented WIA on the Range and we know it will be bigger and better than ever with expectations of over 250 entries.
Greg Stevens said that the work the Zonta Club does both locally and internationally was a major contributing factor in their support of WIA for the next three years. Money raised from this event goes to Zonta International projects both locally & internationally. Greg Stevens sends out an appeal to all women artists to enter this year’s WIA competition which is held on the 30th and 31st July and 1st August at the Montville Village Hall.
