All-round creative person Adam Pavitt will be at the UpFront Club on Friday January 8 with his Positive Personal Political Originals and an album – ‘Seasons will Pass”.
Adam tells his own story very well: “I have been playing music since my mum gave me a guitar and I stuck a batman sticker on it.
My best mate in high school used to play songs to me down the phoneline and taught me some funky riffs, from there it was all about garage band action, living on the coast and feeling the good vibes. I decided to head to Melbourne, the arts capital of Oz. Since 99 i have played alot of cool shows and continue to share the love by busking my originals in the subway tunnels.
One of my passions is running music groups for disabled adults. I’ve been doing this for 6 years, have several groups on the go and i am always looking to form more . I get in and try put a smile on everyone’s faces through introducing people to various types of music, dance, storytelling and songwriting.
Another recent development has been my work as a children’s entertainer. One of my alter egos, Captain Adam the pirate has made quite a few appearances now and is a real laugh. For this I write all my own material and have a ball. On occasion i have been known to freestyle vocals either on stage or with crew at parties or in a jam. I live for the spontaneous exploration through music of life, love, loss, protest and hope.”
