Artists on the Green from 9.30am to 3.30pm an art market
organised by Arts Connect Inc. artists and craftspersons join
for a fun-filled day on the Montville Village Green with
demonstrations and live music.
Demonstration on book-binding in the hall from 10am till 12
noon. The necessary materials will be available for purchase

African Ball Dance night with an African flavour. Loads of fun
planned. Ballroom / New Vogue / Latin / Free Dance. Be

The Caloundra Family History Research group meets at the
Guide Hut, Arthur Street, Caloundra from 1.30pm. The
group is launching, on 21 November 2009, a CD-ROM on
Landsborough Shire Records, An Index to Rates, Receipts &
Payments between 1912 – 1941. There are nearly 60,000
names plus photos and maps from that period. For more

Dr Zohl dé Ishtar, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, will talk about
the Kapululangu Women Elders and their organisation to
keep Aboriginal women traditions alive. The Elders are a
dynamic part of cultural life in Balgo in the SE Kimberley

Monday October 19
Wildlife Walk with Susie Duncan to Baxter Creek, Flaxton. A
6km walk on track with moderate to steep grades among
rainforest, eucalypt forest and waterfall. 8.45am 4.00pm.
Bring water, lunch, boots, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent,
binoculars and togs if you want to swim. The walk is free but
please ring Barung to book and for details of where to meet.

function room of Maleny Catholic Church. Proceeds to

Dr. Michael O’Brien, MD, FRCP (a NADFAS UK Lecturer) will
give a lecture to Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Society
Sunshine Coast in St. Marks Anglican Church, Buderim at
6.30pm. The Lecture : “The Art and Architecture of the
Khmer Empire”. A delicious supper and wine will be served
