WHETHER YOU believe crop circles are made by extraterrestrials, the human collective unconscious, magnetic force fields, the military, scientists or hoaxers with a lot of time on their hands, one fact is indisputable: they are appearing more frequently and the designs are becoming increasingly more intricate than ever before.
Late last month, English geomancer and earth acupuncturist, Richard Creightmore, shared his personal theories with a fascinated audience at Maleny RSL hall in his only Australian talk, entitled ‘The Mystery of Crop Circles – a History and Overview of the Research’. Richard told of how he encountered his first crop circle in 1990 and became intrigued.
“I recognised there was something afoot, not only in terms of having a healing effect on the people who went in but on the earth,” said Richard, who lives near the crop circle heartland of Avebury, England.
Richard spoke of deliberate government campaigns to ridicule and misinform during the 1990s, but said a recent change in policy has seen governments releasing more truthful information on UFOs and crop circles, possibly in preparation for “acknowledging they have contacted at least 20 alien species”.
“There are so many eyewitnesses of UFOs over the formation of crop circles but there are also a lot o references to our ancestor spirits and neolithic sacred sites,” said Richard. “My best guess is that [crop circles are made by] a collective of entities, ancestor spirits and benign transdimensional consciousness that are giving the human race a helping hand with healing impulses through the earth’s layline network.”
When asked about the crop circles that appeared in Conondale in 2004 and 2006, Richard said he believed they were authentic, but that he understands why people are sceptical.

“It’s a really big thing to acknowledge there are some kind of supernatural beings doing this that we don’t know about,” said Richard. “A lot of people just go into denial, and scepticism has also been prompted by various government campaigns; even among new agers, people have been turned off them.
Richard estimates around 10,000 crop circles have appeared since their first recording in AD800, and said they have been evolving in complexity and frequency since then, possibly in the build-up to 2012. Richard also shared insights on positive and transformative health effects that people say they have experienced after going into crop circles.
“There’s detailed information to be gleaned from the crop circles – predictions about astronomical events and information on the three speeds of light, which is encoded in the geometry and metrology. On atangible physical level, there is all sorts of potential, and on an internal spiritual level, it is using sacred geometry, which has an effect on consciousness, opening the third eye and advancing the spiritualisation of human consciousness.”
Richard Creightmore M.A. (Oxon.), B.Ac., has been practicing as a professional Geomancer since 1986, specialising in medical Feng Shui and Earth Acupuncture to heal geopathic stress. He has made a special study of Crop Formations since first encountering the powerful and complex Alton Barnes formation in July 1990 in England.
