Montville photographer Andrew Goodall has something very special planned for the Festival Of The Walks in September.
Andrew has been teaching and sharing his skills for several years, through two books on the art of nature photography, and more recently, photography workshops for beginners. Now he has focused his attention on one of his true specialties - rainforest hotography.
“The Festival Of The Walks has inspired me to return to my roots,” says Andrew. “My passion for photography started in the rainforest over 20 years ago. Now I have a chance to share all that I have learned.”
Andrew will launch, A Guide To Rainforest Photography during the Festival and it will be available on disk. The guide will include all of Andrew’s rainforest photography tips plus many of his best images.
“Rainforest photography can be very rewarding, but knowing how to capture the atmosphere of the rainforest is the real challenge,” says Andrew.
He believes the key to a great photo is not the price-tag on your camera, but the time you spend looking for the perfect subject and waiting for the perfect light. The walks of the Blackall Range offer some of the best photo opportunities in Queensland.
Andrew Goodall is also one of the judges for the Festival Of The Walks photo competition.
