Doctor Jean Elder’s popular book, Bald Knob: A Familiar Landscape went out of print almost as soon as it was first published nine years ago.
It remains the only local history to document the changes from aboriginal times to the year 2000, and to describe how the community adapted to the changes. The book is lavishly illustrated and includes four pages of colour photos mostly taken by Jean’s sister, Robin Simpson, an outstanding local photographer.
