Ann Ferguson is a Range quilt maker with national and international plaudits to her name. Ann recently returned from Port Moresby where she conducted two large workshops over three days. She also had an exhibition, called “Feelings of Place”, of her ethnic-inspired quilts.

Ann sold several of the quilts which raised funds for WeCare! (PNG charity for women and children at risk due to poverty and homelessness).

After her ‘Bird of Paradise’ workshop Ann said, “I donated a workshop to a large group of 35 women from various Motu villages around Port Moresby. I provided kits  and a pattern for them to use- all brought from Australia. The workshop was fantastic.

It was a wonderful opportunity for me to teach and make a difference to the people I was working with. Now I am concentrating on building my online patchwork fabric and quilt business working on a number of quilt commissions and magazine projects for the near future.

Ann Ferguson has exhibited in Australia as well as in France, USA and Japan. She has won several major awards and has quilts in private collections around the world.
