Tracey Sims
Two dynamic and talented ladies – Tracey Sims and Susanne Barrett have pooled their artistic skills to present an exhibition of original paintings entitled ‘Embellishment’, (beautifully adorned and decorated). The exhibition is now running at Holden’s Gallery – corner Coral and Myrtle Streets, Maleny until April 26.
Working predominantly with acrylics combined with other media, Susanne portrays her great love of rural and outback Australia with paintings displaying a brilliance of colour and spirit that truly capture the unique character of the landscape. She achieves this effect in both her abstract and impressionist works by layering both colour and texture throughout the painting process.

Tracey is an award-winning artist whose fine art skills also cross the boundaries of decorative painting. Tracey has conducted demonstrations and seminars in many parts of the world, and published a number of instructional books. Her work has been featured in painting periodicals in Australia and the USA.

Holden’s Gallery is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm and is closed on Sundays.
