The Maleny Credit Union has appointed Anita Hanicek to its board. Anita has been a Blackall Range local for 12 years.
The credit union’s chief executive Greg Stevens said that,  “with the addition of Anita as a director, she will further enhance our board’s depth and experience due to the many skills that she brings us”.
Anita has a background in public relations, marketing and sales. She also has experience as a small business owner and arts educator. As a member of the Credit Union for many years, Anita is committed to its ideals and its members, as well as fostering mutually beneficial partnerships between the Credit Union and local businesses and organisations.
Anita has always had an active involvement with community groups on The Range and is currently project coordinator for Range Kids Care Inc and is on the board of the Interfaith Community Development Association.
Anita said she looks forward to supporting its vision as an ethical role model and leader in sustainable and environmentally responsible banking practices.
