Lunar Eclipse – time to heal old wounds
Venus remains visible as the Evening Star for this month, shining brightly in the west for a couple of hours after sunset. On Feb 27,28, the moon will be close to Venus.
We start February between two eclipses – the solar eclipse of January 26 and the lunar eclipse of February 10. This period is one of intense change, and if your birthday falls around these dates, you are likely to be strongly affected. Change can be positive – the inauguration of Barack Obama, close to the solar eclipse, is a time of intense change for the USA. It reflects the astrology of these times at many levels, particularly the renewed hope, optimism and the theme of “We are One” that typifies Jupiter’s recent entry into Aquarius.
Venus moves into Aries on Feb 3, so expect a lot more assertiveness in relationships – time for some action! Watch out for impatience and short fuses. Mars joins the planetary line-up in Aquarius on Feb 5, giving a boost of energy to the changes promised by Jupiter in Aquarius, such as new technology, new ethical practices and legal perspectives, and global humanitarian awareness.
The Full Moon in Leo on Feb10 is the partial lunar eclipse. It’s just after midnight at 00.50, so we should be able to see it here. Chiron’s involvement in this eclipse may re-open old wounds or trigger issues from mid-August last year. Any issues brought to light at this time require your serious attention and intention to heal, as they will be revisited later in the year, most strongly during October and November 2009.
The New Moon in Pisces on Feb 25 represents the beginning of a new cycle in our relationship to spirituality and our sense of the divine. The New Moon falls at 11.35am and the following 24-hour period is a very powerful time for manifestation, so use it to put out your intentions.
