Shay Lane is Mapleton’s latest address.  Just off Delicia Road and adjacent to the Lilyponds park lands, the name “Shay Lane” was chosen by the local developers of Lilyponds Rise Estate because of its historical significance to the Mapleton district. 
“The Shay” was the locomotive that was used to haul the carriages on the Nambour to Mapleton tramway.
The route of that tramway ran through a corner of what is now Lilyponds Rise Estate, a small eleven lot subdivision currently being marketed by Montville Real Estate. .

The land in Lilyponds Rise Estate is generally very gently sloping with some lots being near level which allows for a wide range of building design styles.  The lot sizes range from 1260m2 up to 3665m2 (nearly one acre) with most being 1500m2 and prices range from only $310,000 to $350,000.
All of Lilyponds Rise Estate is serviced by underground power and telephone, and given the larger size of the individual lots, on-site sewerage systems will be able to be installed.
