How much energy do you have today?

Energy is an illusive measurement for us all. Often when we exercise, maintain a good nutritional profile and are generally busy, we have lots of energy.
However, it’s when we slow down and stop that we feel exhausted.
Why is this? Perhaps you have been doing too much exercise, absorbed too much stress and therefore perhaps are secreting a lot of corisol and adrenaline to falsely pump up your energy levels. Inevitably those levels will come crashing down when you rest.
To reverse and repair this situation we need to re-balance our whole system, take things a bit slower generally, alter our excessive stress and exercise regimes to slower, more flexible options such as yoga, a couple of days rest between intensive gym and running,  breathing deeply, and saying no to excessive pressures. We also need to add some good adrenal gland repairing herbs such as astragalus, withania, panax ginseng and rehmannia to our health care regime.
Research has shown that carbohydrate-loaded diets increase sports duration before exhaustion kicks in. This could be true for life generally, so ensure you eat whole grain and complex carbohydrates such as vegetables, fruits, quality cereals and breads each day.
After exercise, eat something within half an hour to help the production of glycogen, our main energy source replacement in the liver.
Also keep your body as alkaline as possible; get rid of excess acids after exercise and stressful situations by taking a green supplement such as spirulina, and adding apple cider vinegar to water for drinking.
And remember to stay calm in your mind as we can waste a load of energy just thinking. Meditate or take long relaxing walks regularly.
