Obi Abata in rhythm
Make sure you come along to the UPBEAT RHYTHMS Village Dance Party at Crystal Waters Café, Conondale on November 29.
The event will be a celebration of local rhythm culturebeginning in the afternoon with a series of rhythm workshops, and followed in the evening by a fantastic Live Show with Obi Abata, Phonic Bloom and Canta La Tumba.
The Live Show begins at 7pm. ($12/$10/$6) Workshops from 2-6pm include ‘Afro Roots Drumming’ with Natalie Richy, ‘African Dance’ with Pascale Richy and ‘Body Percussion, Cups and loop station’ with Steve McLeish. Open to everyone $12 each or $20/$25 multiple. You might want to try all three!
Chai Mama, will have yummy cakes and savoury treats available at the kitchen from 2pm til late.
