Barely a year old, young Brisbane band Tim Loydell and the Deckchairs are making a name for themselves and this month they will play on the Hinterland.
Following the August release of their debut EP, Some  Stranger’s Ship, the quartet took their brand of energetic Roots-Rock on the road.
The All Hands On Deck tour saw the band embark on an interstate tour in support of the Red Cross, with gigs from Coolum to Canberra.
The experience seems to have solidified the band’s musicianship, transforming them into a tight-knit group, and a cohesive musical unit.
The boys are described on dwarf.com.au as playing in perfect harmony. “They are tight, and between them, create a convincing mood likened to that of, John Butler Trio or Dave Matthews Band”.
Since being introduced to Maleny by local boy Joe Brisick, the Deckchairs have been eager to play a gig in the area, and so it is that on Saturday November 15 Tim Loydell and the Deckchairs will team up with good friends and local favourites, Oka, to provide a night of high-energy, danceable and intricate music.
Guaranteed to at least get your toes tapping and your lips smiling, don’t miss this band with a bright future.
Saturday November 15, Maleny Community Centre. Doors open 8pm.
