In my emails last month I received notice about a book written by Donna Fisher, titled “SILENT FIELDS, The Growing Cancer Cluster Story. When Electricity Kills.” I haven’t read the book yet (its on order) but Donna Fisher is a community activist in Australia who was responsible for getting a Qld court ruling in 2002 that ELF-EMFs from a proposed electricity substation next to a predominantly residential area, should not exceed 0.4 microtesla (4 milligauss). Energex, the power supply company named in the case accepted the decision. She was part of the community legal action against Energex.
The book has a powerful and telling message – people are being killed and some becoming very sick as clusters of cancer appear in Australia and many other parts of the world caused by Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR). Cancer clusters are in the news almost every month now. In the SE Coast region we have the latest notice of one at a Hervey Bay school.
It seems hard to believe that the common use of electricity, an essential part of our civilisation and an integral part of our lives, can kill. It needn’t be so, insists Donna Fisher, if proper scientific measurements are made of just when electricity becomes “dirty” causing sickness and death. The evidence is mounting that there is now more than just a tenuous link – that breast cancer as well as childhood leukaemia caused by EMR in just small doses is a problem. Donna informs us about the emerging cancer cluster story and challenges us to confront certain authorities who she says play with the people’s lives.
The now famous breast cancer cluster at the ABC’s Toowong (Brisbane) TV Studios – which supposedly left the experts baffled – has prompted the author to explain why situations such as this are occurring worldwide. I have written about this before and Donna’s book will give you a very comprehensive Qld based picture. I recommend you chase up a copy. Its very well researched.
