One of the new initiatives of Studio Hair Salon in Palmwoods is to teach our teens the skills of personal hair and skin care.
Robyn Robertson, owner of Studio Hair has been in the Hair and Beauty Industry for over 25 years and has had lots of opportunities over many years to pass on her knowledge to help young women to value and care for themselves.
Robyn has held classes for Mothers and Daughters, teens, and pre-teens teaching them life skills and personal development. Some of these have been set courses over a period of 10 weeks and others, over 4 weeks. As a Life Coach, Robyn loves to encourage the young women to value who they are and to help them to discover and believe in their own potential.
“It’s a great opportunity for young girls to learn basic skills in hair and skin care, make-up and personal grooming that will help develop good habits for the rest of their lives.” said Robyn.
“Just understanding some important principals and techniques can save a lot of damage to skin, hair and nails and also save a lot of money. I was fortunate to learn many of these skills in my teen years, but many women have never had that opportunity. I love to be able to teach young girls when they are beginning to experiment with make-up, hairstyles and fashion and set them on the right track from the beginning. It is vital for our young people to know what to use and how to use it.”
There are so many products on the market and even to be guided on what to use is really important. Apart from learning about hair, skin and nails, the girls will be participating in facials, hairstyling and make-up application with our salon Make-up Artist, Nicole.
Classes sizes will be limited so bookings will be essential. Classes will run over a 4 week period after school, and more classes will be held in the next school holidays. Classes will commence on Wednesday 13th August. For an application form or more information phone Robyn at Studio Hair on 5445 0756 or email robynlea@aapt.net.au.
